Reviews & Reputation: questions buyers ask
How do we get more Google reviews?
Ask every customer, the same way, at the moment they're happiest: right after delivery or a finished job. A short text or email with a direct review link works best. Reply to every review within a day. Google says reviews and replies help local ranking, alongside how relevant and how close you are to the searcher.
Is it legal to buy or incentivize reviews?
No. The FTC's rule against fake reviews took effect in the US in October 2024, and UK law has banned fake reviews and hidden paid reviews since April 2025 under the DMCC Act. Amazon also bans asking only happy customers. We only use approved methods such as Amazon's Request a Review button, Vine and Trustpilot's automatic invites.
How does Amazon Vine work, and what does it cost?
Vine sends free units of a new product to trusted reviewers. The product needs fewer than 30 reviews, Brand Registry and FBA. In the US the fee is per parent ASIN: free for 1 to 2 units, $75 for 3 to 10 and $200 for 11 to 30. Check Seller Central for the UK rate. First reviews usually arrive within 4 to 8 weeks.
Can you remove bad reviews?

How fast do Brand Registry takedowns work?
Most Brand Registry reports are resolved within 3 to 10 days.
